About the Role
This bank opportunity in the pre-assessment department at Spire St Anthony's Hospital offers flexible working. The role involves working within a team dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in clinic settings to ensure efficient patient pathways.
Responsibilities
- Assist qualified nursing staff, under supervision, in providing a high-quality, comprehensive service to patients and users.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care in a clean and safe environment.
- Undertake delegated assessment tasks related to individual patient needs as agreed with the care team.
- Receive, transmit, store, and retrieve information.
- Perform basic observations of patients' vital signs.
- Accurately record information related to designated tasks and report it to the relevant team member on time.
- Identify and report any significant changes affecting an individual's health and well-being to the appropriate person.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment.
- Experience ideally within POA; hospital experience will be considered.
- Essential: Experience in ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures, and patient observations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
