About the Role

As a member of the kitchen team, prepare salads, desserts and special requests as needed. This role also involves cooking the main meal when necessary or in the absence of the cook, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and dishwashing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in preparing both hot and cold meals.
• Take on the responsibility of cooking main meals and special orders when needed.
• Ensure that the menu board and food items are clearly and accurately labeled (e.g., Vegan/ Gluten free, etc.).
• Set up and replenish food and beverage items throughout meal service.
• Maintain a clean serving area.
• Clean the beverage and buffet stations during and after meal service.
• Help clean guest tables, the kitchen, wash dishes, and manage garbage and recycling duties.
• Provide support with general kitchen tasks as requested by other kitchen team members.

Requirements

• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen team.
• Engage with guests and staff in a manner that promotes a positive and welcoming atmosphere at Stony Point Center.
• Assist the cook with the preparation as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, while respecting varying work styles.

Skills

• Fluency in one or more languages other than English is highly desirable.
