About the Role
HOACNY provides cancer care services Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations. This role supports physicians and clinical teams, potentially involving travel between offices.
Responsibilities
- Performs administrative duties for physicians and other members of the clinical team.
- Travels with their specific assigned physician between offices if the physician travels.
- Stays at one location if the physician does not travel.
- Covers PTO for other patient navigators in a float position, potentially covering any location for any physician.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, medical terminology, and medical records.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Skill in operating a computer, fax machine, multi-line telephone system, and copy machine.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, peers, and clinical staff.
- High School Diploma.
- Two years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
