About the Role
The SEALs Project Manager will provide leadership, support, and training for the SEALs Project within the Rome City School District, focusing on social-emotional academic learning supports in school and community settings. This role involves direct oversight of daily operations, services to students, and supervision of SEALs Coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold the Connected Community Schools Model, Community School principles, SEALS program fundamentals, and their policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with school district staff to understand district-wide and building-specific procedures.
- Create and facilitate training for new hires and refresher training on social, emotional, and academic learning supports.
- Maintain a physical presence in assigned districts/buildings for supervision, observations, relationship building, and check-ins.
- Attend and participate in designated school building LINK Meetings, providing support and guidance.
- Be familiar with existing school resources and programs.
- Attend and complete all required trainings and certifications.
- Provide oversight on the completion of referrals from SEALs Coordinators and ensure collaboration with Site Coordinators.
- Oversee the facilitation of social-emotional learning curriculum for groups and family engagement events.
- Participate in MTSS District Committee and building-specific MTSS Team Meetings for clinical case reviews and other relevant meetings.
- Lead collaboration with Rome CSD to assess needs for targeted training and facilitate specialized training related to SEALs.
- Participate in data collection and reporting to District Administration, including quantitative and qualitative measures.
- Participate in Quality Management Meetings to provide feedback on policies and procedures.
- Identify applicable training relevant to the SEALs Project for incorporation into professional development.
- Attend CCS Advisory Board Meetings and other assigned community-based meetings.
- Participate in District/Community Wide Programming events as applicable.
- Coordinate and facilitate Staff Team Meetings for program/project updates and case reviews.
- Facilitate bi-weekly supervision meetings with assigned staff.
- Review and oversee assigned staff time off requests, scheduling, payroll, and mileage usage.
- Conduct interviews for potential applicants for SEALs Site Coordinator.
- Conduct orientation and training for new staff, including oversight for completing LITMOS and in-person trainings.
- Complete all applicable performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Assist with identifying new trainings for staff and scheduling/performing in-services.
- Complete Incident Reports following established policy and procedures.
- Establish a work environment that creates positive communication and assimilates new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field with five (5) years’ experience.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Travel is required between connected district sites, administrative office, and/or community locations.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
