Responsibilities

  • Receive orientation to the company and local community, including learning about customers, culture, and business strategies.

  • Supervise the performance of all team members.
  • Produce employee schedules according to staffing guides and productivity requirements.
  • Review and adjust staffing daily for optimal levels.
  • Review and adjust employee assignments.
  • Manage administrative functions according to established standards.
  • Evaluate, coach, counsel, and provide leadership support.
  • Learn the front desk computer system.
  • Master check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Promote the Preferred Guest Program.
  • Perform cashier responsibilities, including maintaining a house bank and making daily deposits.
  • Execute group arrivals procedures, guest room assignment, and control.
  • Implement walk over procedures.
  • Manage hourly house counts.
  • Execute sell-out controls.
  • Manage room key controls.
  • Utilize room up-selling techniques.
  • Resolve guest concerns.
  • Learn processes for preparing VIP arrivals, assigning amenities, and processing special needs.
  • Contact top clients prior to arrival.
  • Inspect rooms and suites for VIPs and repeat guests before arrival.
  • Act as a liaison between guests and operating departments.
  • Maintain and update the hotel guests database.
  • Escort arriving VIPs and repeat guests to their rooms and provide hotel tours.
  • Provide the highest standard of service.
  • Handle VIP complaints efficiently.
  • Coordinate teamwork with other departments.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a post-secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry.
  • A hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA).
  • 5 years of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA).
  • Demonstrated consistent career growth over recent years.
  • Shown serious commitment to most recent employers.
