About the Role
We are looking for Sessional Tutors to join our team at Kaplan International College London (KICL). You will provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, with a focus on English for Academic Purposes and Academic Research skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an educator looking to expand their skills with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and review a range of learning activities that guide and support students.
- Develop and update innovative teaching material that engages all students.
- Work collaboratively as part of different teams to continually improve the student experience.
- Embrace innovations in teaching practice.
Requirements
- Experience of teaching to post 16 students.
- A teaching qualification would be an advantage.
- Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A strong commitment to continuous professional development.
- Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice.
- A Post Graduate qualification, strong first degree, or relevant professional experience will be considered.
- CELTA qualified (or equivalent) is required.
- DELTA (or equivalent) is desirable if teaching English language.
- CELTA plus relevant experience will also be considered.
- Must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (including children’s barred list) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- For roles that include teaching or coaching, a Prohibition from Teaching Check will be completed through the Teaching Regulation Agency.
- It is an offense to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
