About the Role
The Cargo Accounts department is the primary contact for all billing and accounts inquiries for Air Canada Cargo within the UK. This role involves investigating customer billing queries and ensuring efficient and accurate billing of customer shipments.
Responsibilities
- Action and record all customer inquiries received from external and internal customers.
- Verify that daily Airway Bill charges are correct for Import, Export & Irish shipments.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Unit to eradicate billing errors.
- Contact customers to confirm and reject adjustment requests.
- Prepare Cargo adjustment requests using Word & Excel.
- Prepare Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS) adjustments when required.
- Arrange for the input of data into the Cargo accounting system (CITRIX).
- Prepare Cargo documentation for uploading to the Air Canada Cargo document management system (Odiss).
- Provide support and deputise for the Cargo Accounts Coordinator / Lead Accounts Clerk where required.
- Verify daily CASS output from Citrix and prepare and raise CASS adjustments using Word & Excel.
- Identify all charges from CASS reports relating to Import, Export & Irish shipments.
- Perform general duties as assigned relative to Cargo Accounts.
- Ensure compliance with Air Canada University online training.
Requirements
- Applicants must have the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made.
- Candidates are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
- Prior to their start date, candidates will need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
Skills
- Good English verbal and written skills
- Previous Cargo experience is an advantage
- Experience of Weblynx, CITRIX and Microsoft Office suite would be an advantage
- DfT Security trained
