About the Role
The Office of Management Analysis and Planning (OMAP) is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Community Associate to join the Data Analysis and Mapping Section. This role involves monitoring the Department’s organization and operations concerning CALEA standards, collaborating with the accreditation manager to identify and rectify inconsistencies, and working with stakeholders to ensure compliance with over 160 standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the Department’s organization and operations as it pertains to varying CALEA standards.
- Working directly with the assigned accreditation manager in flagging and correcting any inconsistencies.
- Working with numerous stakeholders to collect and organize the required information to bring a standard to compliance.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above.
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above.

- OMAP is the research and assessment arm of the Department, comprised of both uniformed and civilian members of the service with a wide variety of academic and professional experiences.
- OMAP conducts analyses aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Department (e.g. personnel deployments, resource allocation), develops complex pilot projects, formulas policy recommendations and prepares briefing materials for the Police Commissioner on a wide range of legislative and procedural issues.
