About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Manager with a growth mindset to join their ANZ team in a senior leadership capacity, based in either Brisbane or Sydney as a National Lead - Contract Administration and Independent Certification. This role supports the execution of sector-specific strategies and drives profitable growth through effective client engagement and market differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of sector-specific strategies and drive profitable growth through effective client engagement and market differentiation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee recruitment, development, and succession planning for your team, including workshare across the sector.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment, empowering team members to take ownership and encouraging professional development.
- Ensure delivery excellence across all projects by maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Implement digital and AI initiatives within the sector and uphold project governance and delegation of authority requirements.
- Actively participate in technical and project management roles, including GNGs, project risk reviews, and governance reviews.
- Champion a Quality Mindset and ensure the consistent application of AECOM's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in major civil infrastructure projects.
- CPEng or equivalent professional accreditation (desirable).
- Strong background in civil design and construction delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in independent certification, verification, or assurance roles.
- Experience operating under government or principal-led contract models.
- Proven capability leading and being accountable for multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Experience in client engagement, work winning, market positioning, and delivery excellence.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent client engagement abilities, with a demonstrated history of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proficient in project governance and risk management, with experience in implementing approval processes.
- Knowledge of digital initiatives and their application within the engineering sector.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate organizational change.
