About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and independent accounting professional who takes responsibility, drives topics forward, and supports our financial processes with their expertise. You will independently handle the checking, coding, and booking of current business transactions, ensuring correct and timely processing. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting, keeping an eye on open items, incoming and outgoing payments, and account reconciliations. You will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings according to HGB and actively contribute your expertise. You will prepare evaluations, analyses, and business overviews for internal decision-makers. You will identify optimization potential in existing processes and contribute your own ideas for the further development of our accounting workflows. You will work closely with internal departments and external contacts such as tax advisors and auditors.

Responsibilities

Independently handle the checking, coding, and booking of current business transactions, ensuring correct and timely processing.
Be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting, keeping an eye on open items, incoming and outgoing payments, and account reconciliations.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings according to HGB and actively contribute your expertise.
Prepare evaluations, analyses, and business overviews for internal decision-makers.
Identify optimization potential in existing processes and contribute your own ideas for the further development of our accounting workflows.
Work closely with internal departments and external contacts such as tax advisors and auditors.

Requirements

Completed commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in financial accounting (3-5 years).
Sound knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB).
Proficient use of DATEV.
Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
Good English skills, both written and spoken.
High affinity for numbers as well as a structured and careful way of working.
Ability to independently structure and process tasks.
Proactive approach and solution-oriented mindset.
Willingness to take responsibility and consistently bring topics to completion.
Ability to maintain an overview even in dynamic situations.
Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and identifying optimization potential.
