About the Role

As a Vice President in the Liquidity and Market Risk Management (LMR) team, you will play a pivotal role in managing liquidity and market risk strategies. You will assess and analyze risk impact and benefits for new strategic initiatives, member onboarding, and currency additions to CLS. This role involves daily risk monitoring, continuous improvement of risk management processes, liquidity risk analysis for market events, stress testing, risk reporting, and model risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform liquidity analysis to assess risk and benefits for CLS Settlement participation expansion and new strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct daily and quarterly stress testing to assess the impact of potential member pay-in failures for settlement monitoring, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze risk impact in response to market and geopolitical events affecting CLS Settlement services.
  • Enhance existing LMR processes through automation or improvements to minimize operational errors and increase efficiency.
  • Conduct ongoing model monitoring and update model documents for LMR-owned models per the Model Risk Policy.
  • Code and implement benchmarking models for LMR-owned models as part of ongoing monitoring.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports for internal stakeholders and regulators to support management reporting and RCSA processes.

Requirements

  • At least five years of work experience in banking, consulting, or other financial institutions.
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience in financial analytics and risk methodologies.
  • Strong discipline of vetting own work and attention to detail to deliver high-quality work products.
  • Excellent critical thinking capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in interpreting, data cleaning, manipulating, and performing analysis with large amounts of data.
