About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to drive the delivery of a high-quality, efficient, and enhanced end-to-end operational service to both Clients and Brokers/Account Executives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the effective delivery of all Broker Support activities in line with the target Ardonagh operating model.
  • Overseeing the services provided by third-party providers, fostering strong collaboration and ensuring service excellence.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end operational processes, including IBA, Premium Processing, Claims, and other middle-office functions.
  • Support the preparation and review of placement documentation, ensuring compliance with minimum standards, Ardonagh procedures, and market regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate and oversee premium processing activities, providing guidance and support to processing technicians in resolving queries and issues.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant placement records within GXB.
  • Utilise relevant market and internal systems to support and streamline the placement process.
  • Support the internal file audit programme, working closely with the File Review and Internal Audit teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of key contractual obligations and critical dates, including payment warranties, subjectivities, and Notices of Cancellation (NOCs).
  • Collaborate with Clients, Brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve cash and credit control issues, identify root causes of recurring challenges, and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of operational efficiencies and best practices across the team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders across Ardonagh Specialty, including: Risk & Compliance, IT & Digital, Management Information, Business Entity Team, IBA, Premium Processing (including offshore teams), Claims, Compliance and Governance.
  • Ensure full adherence to all applicable regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements, including but not limited to: Contract Certainty, Client and Market Due Diligence, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Audit Requirements and Processes, Authorisation Matrix.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the insurance market.
  • Demonstrated experience of London Market processes and practices.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills and responsibilities.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and confident approach to supporting team and business objectives.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong process improvement mindset, with the ability to standardise procedures and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Adaptable and receptive to change, with the ability to embed new processes and ways of working as directed by leadership.

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of casualty and liability insurance classes; experience in Canadian Casualty/Liability would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
