About the Role
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Intern, you'll become part of our international Operations team and gain practical experience in global sourcing, supplier management, and product development. You'll work closely with colleagues from Product Management, Operations, and Manufacturing while supporting exciting international projects with suppliers, particularly in China and the APAC region. You'll have the opportunity to take on real responsibility, contribute your own ideas, and learn from experienced professionals. We're looking for interns who can join us for at least six months.
Responsibilities
- Support our Procurement & Supply Chain team in day-to-day business and exciting international projects.
- Research and identify new suppliers, especially in China and the APAC region.
- Compare suppliers, products, prices, and quotations.
- Support communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and further develop our international supplier database.
- Assist in sourcing packaging, components, and manufacturing partners for new products.
- Support logistics activities between China and Germany.
- Prepare supplier meetings, presentations, and documentation.
- Track procurement activities and support project timelines.
- Contribute ideas to improve procurement and supply chain processes.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Seeking a mandatory or voluntary internship with a minimum duration of six months.
- Native-level Mandarin Chinese is a mandatory requirement.
- Genuine interest in Chinese language, culture, and business practices.
- Enjoy collaborating in an international environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- German language skills are a plus, but not required.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about international procurement, supply chain management, and product development.
- Enjoy working in a structured way, communicating with different stakeholders, and taking on responsibility.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
