About the Role

A career opportunity has arisen within Liverpool City Council for an experienced and energetic Field Inspector. As a key member of the Maintenance Planning and Reporting Team, you will be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries relating to road openings and vehicular crossings.

Responsibilities

• Provide first call response, identify issues, and make sound judgments to determine the appropriate resolution.
• Ensure site safety at all times.
• Inspect and approve driveway constructions.
• Assess and issue road opening permits.
• Manage restoration works.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Meet the daily demands of the position.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Construction/Maintenance field and/or equivalent extensive field experience.
• Construction Induction accreditation.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• Knowledge and application of Work Health and Safety practices.
• Knowledge and application of the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Knowledge and application of ethical practice.
• Knowledge and application of multi-cultural diversity.
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Must obtain a National Police Check.
• May be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
