About the Role

Light needs an expert to train and certify accounting and consulting firms on implementing the Smart Financial Platform. You will be the central product expert for the partner program, guiding partner teams through training, certification, and client deliveries, acting as their ongoing expert resource. Your audience includes partner implementation teams, their leaders, and client finance executives. You will address complex accounting scenarios and ensure successful client implementations through partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the product expert, demonstrating all workflows and answering complex configuration and accounting questions from partners.
  • Manage partner activation from initial product deep-dives to achieving Light certification.
  • Deliver training curriculum covering product features, implementation methodology, data migration, and live sessions.
  • Conduct shadow and reverse-shadow sessions, assess partner readiness, and manage certification.
  • Support partners during their initial client deliveries to maintain Light's quality standards.
  • Coach partners on translating financial requirements into platform designs, including chart of accounts, entity structure, consolidation logic, and reporting.
  • Proactively identify and address implementation issues with partners before clients do.
  • Challenge and guide partners away from ineffective shortcuts.
  • Develop and maintain an enablement library with curriculum, playbooks, templates, and recordings.
  • Provide feedback from partners to the product and program teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation, or finance advisory roles (e.g., Big 4, finance boutique, or vendor professional services).
  • Experience in training, enabling, or leading consultants is highly valued.
  • Fluency in accounting principles, including multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, accrual accounting, and reporting.
  • Ability to explain complex product or accounting concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to bring structure to programs through clear planning and prioritization.
  • Skill in building trust with partner leadership and client finance teams.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and influencing individuals outside of direct reporting lines.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose implementation issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations (vendor, consulting, or customer side).
  • Daily use of AI tools with informed opinions on their application in delivery and enablement.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages, especially German, are a plus.
  • Experience owning a go-live end-to-end is a strong plus.
  • Experience building a training or certification program is a plus.
  • Experience learning from implementation failures is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-jurisdiction accounting (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAPs) is a plus.
