About the Role
The Senior Associate will support the Investment Funds team in London, contributing to the delivery of strategic and commercial objectives for Investment Companies and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs). This role is crucial for driving business development, fostering relationships with market participants, and promoting the London Stock Exchange as a premier listing venue.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to prospective issuers and their advisers on listing considerations, including routes to market, listing requirements, and ongoing obligations.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective issuers, identifying, qualifying, and converting new listing opportunities.
- Drive the onboarding of new clients by collaborating with internal teams (compliance, operations, admissions) to ensure an efficient listing process.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of domestic and international roadshows, including prospecting, material preparation, and follow-up.
- Represent the London Stock Exchange at industry events to promote the Exchange as a leading capital raising venue.
- Prepare briefing materials for senior collaborators for events and industry engagements.
- Maintain and update presentations and collateral to reflect market developments, product innovations, and industry trends.
- Support the planning and delivery of industry events, coordinating with internal and external partners.
- Contribute to reports for senior management, analyzing listing and capital raising activity.
- Own the production of monthly market updates on key fund transactions and capital raising activity.
- Prepare briefing materials and speeches for events and industry engagements.
Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience in capital markets, ideally in a client-facing origination role.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to manage projects independently and prioritize competing demands.
- Strong interest in investment funds and the broader asset management industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage confidently with market participants.
- Commercially minded, with strong business development skills.
- Analytical and diligent, with the ability to interpret market data and identify trends.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, Bloomberg, and LSEG Workspace is desirable.
