About the Role
This role involves leading on a portfolio of IOSCO committees, supporting senior leadership, and contributing to the FCA's international engagement strategy. You will help shape the future of financial services regulation in the UK and globally.
Responsibilities
- Leading on your portfolio of IOSCO committees, including supporting senior leadership on the IOSCO MMOU MG, FinTech Taskforce and the new Wholesale Conduct committee
- Supporting the FCA’s international engagement at IOSCO on various topics
- Working with other teams within the International Division and across the FCA, contributing to the development and delivery of the FCA’s overall strategy for international engagement, influencing and advocacy across key policy areas
- Working with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders to develop international policy positions on key issues of common interest to the UK
- Monitoring the work and output of IOSCO and other international stakeholders and authorities, ensuring intelligence and policy developments are understood effectively throughout the FCA
- Provide strong analysis of complex regulatory and stakeholder management issues to seniors and brief them for meetings
- Support broader work across the Global Institutions Team where appropriate, such as supporting the FCA’s contribution to the upcoming IMF financial sector assessment programme, or work on non-bank financial intermediation issues
Requirements
- Prior international engagement experience, with experience of European level or global level
- Engagement with other jurisdictions
- Demonstrable stakeholder management experience
- The ability to identify, build and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative and proactive approach - a strong team player with the ability to be flexible and pragmatic, taking account of others’ perspectives and adapting to changing circumstances
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills; ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively in person, and to communicate complex issues in writing succinctly
- Good judgement and an ability to quickly identify relevant issues from a wide range of data points and present the outcomes of your analysis quickly, clearly and effectively

Salary/Compensations
- National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £43,100 to £50,000 per annum
- London ranging from £47,300 to £55,000 per annum
