About the Role

This role provides technical, scientific, and analytical rigor to standards and frameworks analysis, supporting the alignment of CDP’s disclosure framework with prioritized standards and frameworks. It involves supporting the development of processes and resources related to standards and frameworks, and providing technical expertise for standard-setter engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team processes and outputs related to standards and frameworks, including mapping exercises.
  • Contribute to the development of the question bank, reporting guidance, and scoring methodologies, focusing on standards and frameworks alignment.
  • Prioritize data points/metrics from sustainability standards/frameworks and translate them into CDP’s corporate question bank and reporting guidance.
  • Analyze response data and conduct desk-based research.
  • Draft and proofread technical documents.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support for CDP’s broader activities related to standards and frameworks.
  • Contribute to projects such as funded projects, publications, consultations, and engagement events.
  • Develop insights to support organization-wide understanding of key standards and frameworks.
  • Deliver internal presentations/webinars.
  • Engage with standard-setters regarding question bank changes related to standards and frameworks alignment.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and optimization of processes for the evolution and delivery of CDP’s question bank, guidance, and scoring methodologies.
  • Author, edit, and test questions and guidance content in CDP’s online disclosure systems.
  • Actively contribute to an effective and engaged team by understanding expectations, participating in performance conversations, ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace, and living CDP Values.

Requirements

  • A relevant academic qualification.
  • Professional experience in a role related to environmental reporting standards and frameworks.
  • Technical expertise in corporate environmental disclosure, focusing on key concepts of sustainability standards and frameworks.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the global sustainability policy agenda.
  • Ability to design, implement, and refine operational processes for efficiency.
  • High standard of written English and ability to present complex information concisely.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • High level of motivation with a confident and collaborative working style.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members of different technical and cultural backgrounds.
  • Eligible to work legally in the UK.
  • Live within a commutable distance of the London office.
  • Comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
