About the Role
We are seeking a Media Manager to join our small, start-up style team on a public campaigning initiative. This role offers a unique opportunity to jointly lead our earned media strategy, aiming to secure high-quality coverage across various media platforms to influence public opinion and drive political change.
Responsibilities
- Jointly lead on earned media approach.
- Secure high-quality coverage of campaigns and the Health Equals coalition across print, online, and broadcast media.
- Deliver the PR strategy for upcoming public-facing campaigns.
- Manage the PR agency partner.
- Lead the press office function.
- Build trusted relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Coordinate Health Equals member spokespeople and lived experience storytellers.
- Work proactively with data analysts and policy experts to identify and develop media opportunities based on data relating to health inequalities.
- Write press releases and pitch to national and regional media.
- Field media enquiries.
- Respond proactively to developments in the external environment.

- Experienced media manager looking for a part-time, job share role.
- Ability to help Health Equals grow its profile and ensure campaigns achieve impact.
- Ability to play a part in bringing about better health for people in the UK.
