About the Role
The Associate Director is responsible for client engagement, deal development, and pitching for regional client business. This role involves idea generation with the Capital Markets team, meeting financial targets for the Australian DCM market, and contributing to business growth strategies, including cross-selling and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Growing and deepening client penetration for ANZ's key Capital Markets clients in the region and expanding the product suite.
- Collaborating with Debt and Derivatives members of the Institutional Rates Sales team to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Developing and providing timely business/market updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Engaging with key partners across the bank, such as Credit, Trade, Specialised Finance, Lending, and other global product partners.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Managing transactions within risk management and control processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of demonstrated successful track record in Capital Markets.
- Proven strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Experience working with a syndicate team on all aspects of the deal life cycle, including book building, documentation, road show, pricing, execution, and hedging.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle demanding, high-pressure work environments and stretched working hours.
- Deep understanding of the Australian debt securities AMTN market.
- Demonstrated experience in Asia/Australia/New Zealand product is a plus.
