About the Role
This role supports catastrophe model validation, change, and implementation, partnering with various teams to define requirements, maintain data standards, and coordinate reporting. It involves translating business needs into functional requirements, ensuring data quality, and managing regulatory requests.
Responsibilities
- Support catastrophe model validation, change, and implementation activities, including documenting methodologies, assumptions, testing approaches, and outcomes.
- Partner with the Portfolio Analytics team to deliver model change impact analysis and translate findings into clear stakeholder insights.
- Communicate model changes and developments to underwriters, providing regular updates on timelines, impacts, and practical implications.
- Partner with the Development team and regional stakeholders to define, prioritise, and support delivery of system and reporting enhancements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and help validate solutions through user testing and feedback.
- Own and maintain the RMSi data dictionary.
- Define, communicate, and promote consistent global data standards and best practices, including data quality checks and governance routines.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and maintain operational dashboards and associated reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Risk function on catastrophe modelling and exposure reporting matters.
- Lead responses to Lloyd’s and other regulatory information requests, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and consolidate recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements across stakeholders.
- Maintain an audit-ready evidence trail and clear documentation standards.
- Support business change initiatives affecting catastrophe modelling operations, reporting, and governance.
- Document transitional processes, identify gaps and risks, and coordinate remediation activities with modelling, underwriting, risk, regional, and development teams.
- Support Marine model validation testing.
- Support OASIS model rollout and implementation.
- Support BOLT enhancement requirements, testing, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support merger integration across legacy Aspen and legacy Sompo catastrophe modelling approaches.
