About the Role
Methods is seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to join their IT support team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and looking to develop their career within broad IT support functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support to colleagues via phone and ticketing systems.
- Manage requests using the Salesforce Case Management system.
- Support hardware and software issues on Windows PCs, Apple Macs, iPhones, and Samsung mobile devices.
- Manage accounts and licensing through the Microsoft Administration Portal.
- Process monthly invoicing for software managed by the IT Team.
- Assist with project work and suggest best technology practices.
- Create clear documentation for internal IT procedures, technologies, and user guides.
- Complete asset and compliance management using Microsoft Endpoint and other technologies.
- Engage in asset purchasing and supplier relations.
- Report faults and maintain logs for network and laptops.
- Assist with inductions for new staff.
- Log and track identified IT problems through to resolution.
- Administer and manage helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely updates and responses.
Requirements
- Good practical and demonstrable understanding of IT.
- Clear drive and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Previous experience of working to helpdesk ticket deadlines.
- Practical, good common sense, ability to use initiative/problem solve, multitask/work well under pressure.
- Excellent diplomacy skills, a helpful and very professional attitude to staff at all levels across all issues.
- Must have a good understanding of all MS Office Applications including SharePoint Online.
- Experience in supporting both Windows and MacOS laptops.
- Must have or be willing to undergo Security vetting and be granted the required level of security clearance issued by UKSV.
- Ability to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding.
