About the Role

We are building the platform that amateur football deserves, creating a digital home for the passion of millions who play, volunteer, and support every weekend. We are looking for a Social Brand Designer to bring our brand visually to life, focusing on design, content, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the visual implementation of our brand on social media, from design to final publication.
  • Quickly and creatively implement ideas with a clear understanding of amateur football, community dynamics, and modern social trends.
  • Design, edit, and produce daily social-first content (Reels, TikToks, Visuals) from concept to final cut and publication.
  • Further sharpen and consistently develop our brand image through design, tonality, and storytelling.
  • Build a reusable brand system (guidelines, templates, creative principles) that scales across channels and brands.
  • Establish recognizable content series that the target audience regularly returns to.
  • Take responsibility for content planning and publishing rhythm on key social media channels.
  • Produce social media-first content and/or take creative lead, including strong "external appearance" (intro, captions, editing).
  • Collaborate closely with growth/ads to develop high-performing creatives and improve them through rapid test loops.
  • Translate performance data into clear creative decisions regarding focus, discontinuation, and next steps for testing.
  • Develop and implement cooperation concepts with creators, communities, and local partners.
  • Build lean partner packages (materials, briefings, formats) to facilitate joint content creation and sharing.
  • Identify scalable distribution levers that increase reach without diluting the brand.

Requirements

  • You see yourself in one of our offices – Cologne, Berlin, or London – and can be present on-site at least 2-3 times per week.
  • You bring 2-6 years of background as a Creative and feel secure in your role.
  • You speak English fluently – German is a big plus.
  • You are familiar with amateur football – you have played yourself, are a club member, or a fan with a real feel for what happens on and off the pitch.
  • You prefer to actively shape things rather than just execute – even if that sometimes means tackling tasks without a finished roadmap.
  • You can build brands sustainably through content, not just through individual campaigns.
  • You have very good visual taste (design, editing).
  • Motion design / animation skills (template-based, fast & scalable).
  • You are strong in positioning, format/series development, channel thinking, and have a pronounced distribution mindset.
  • You are data-comfy, understand key social and paid creative performance metrics, and derive smart learnings from them.
  • You work quickly and pragmatically in implementation while simultaneously raising the creative bar.
  • Hooks, Captions, and Series Framing.
  • Short-form storytelling with a clear narrative flow.
  • Creator briefing & direction for efficient content production.
  • Deep understanding of sports/football culture, tonality & matchday dynamics.
  • Social-first design & packaging (format setup, thumbnails/title cards, recognizability).
  • Figma, Adobe Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), CapCut, Notion, Meta & TikTok Ads Manager, YouTube Studio (Shorts publishing & analytics).
