About the Role

The Sales Director, Asset Services role is responsible for driving sales results for new client logos, increasing revenue, and contributing to sales targets and growth objectives by executing strategic initiatives. This involves identifying and pursuing sales opportunities in target markets, managing the sales cycle from client engagement to deal closure, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pursuit plans for target clients.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with senior leaders, executives, and C-level decision-makers at prospects.
  • Understand clients' business scope and strategic goals to recommend and sell appropriate solutions.
  • Manage commercial elements of deals, contracts, and scope of services.
  • Collaborate with global and local leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to sales opportunities.
  • Foster relationships with industry peers and stakeholders.
  • Achieve new sales for the business to generate revenue across allocated products.
  • Manage and coordinate tender documents (RFI, RFP etc.).
  • Produce sales proposals and sales presentations.
  • Generate leads via telephone calls, cold calls, warm introductions, and social selling.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and products.
  • Cross-sell relevant services to clients to win new business.
  • Ensure CRM systems are updated in a timely manner.
  • Support Client Relationship Directors at key meetings.
  • Develop relationships with relevant clients.
  • Undertake commercial projects to drive revenue results.

Requirements

  • 15+ years Financial Services/Wealth Services experience.
  • 5+ years senior sales experience.
  • Proven track record of success and sales results within the financial services industry.
  • Direct experience and knowledge of fund structures, the funds industry, relevant trends, and clients.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in servicing Fund Managers and/or Custodians.
  • Ability to constantly focus on solid pipeline development.
  • Lead generation sales experience via cold call meetings and social prospecting.
  • Action and results oriented with strong drive, resilience, and tenacity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and self-start with high levels of autonomy.
  • Ability to build strong senior relationships and influence/motivate people at all levels.
  • Extensive contract management experience with a good understanding of fund services commercial contracts.
  • Strong people person skills.
  • Proven sales capability – hit goals and grow pipeline.
  • Excellent written, MS PowerPoint, and presentation skills.
  • Multitasking and time management/organizational skills with ability to work under pressure.
