About the Role
Support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, to ensure the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a dynamic team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
- Work to established best practise and maintain homes to the highest standard.
- Work in a busy team environment with no day the same.
- Work alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work carried out to compliance requirements.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including patching & painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenance.
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation and system processes are adhered to.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, aged care preferable but not necessary.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail & excellent communication skills.
- A current NSW driver's license.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to interact with the elderly residents on a day to day basis.
- A valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, must be obtained prior to employment.
