About the Role
Lead the Customer Due Diligence function for Emirates NBD London, overseeing CDD, KYC, EDD operations, governance standards, quality assurance, senior management reporting, and regulatory alignment within a UK regulated banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead CDD, KYC and EDD operations across onboarding, periodic reviews, trigger reviews and remediation activity.
- Ensure customer due diligence, screening and file documentation standards are maintained in line with UK regulatory and internal requirements.
- Develop CDD procedures, governance reporting, MI, KPIs and quality assurance frameworks for senior management review.
- Partner with Financial Crime Compliance, MLRO, CRO, Operational Risk, Relationship Managers, Operations and audit stakeholders.
- Lead and develop the CDD & Governance team, supporting resource planning, continuous improvement and strong operational controls.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing Customer Due Diligence or KYC operations within a UK regulated bank.
- Strong understanding of UK AML/CTF regulations, including CDD, EDD, customer risk ratings and high-risk customer management.
- Experience leading operational teams and managing audits, regulatory reviews, remediation plans and regulatory change.
- Strong stakeholder management, senior reporting, prioritisation and communication skills.
