About the Role
Join our leading Risk and Regulatory team in Australia to shape new Data Risk solution offerings by leveraging best practice operational risk and data governance/management approaches and technologies. You will lead teams and work with stakeholders to deliver practical, business-aligned advice, strategies, policy frameworks, and solutions to help clients understand and manage their Data Risk Profile, meet regulatory obligations, and customer expectations. Play a role in developing solutions to help clients manage data risk more effectively in response to business, regulator, and other stakeholder commitments, including the delivery of data risk strategy programs and driving change to adopt leading practice data governance capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams and work with stakeholders to deliver practical and business-aligned advice, strategies, policy frameworks and solutions.
- Help clients understand and manage various elements of an organisations Data Risk Profile.
- Deliver solutions to help clients understand and manage data risk more effectively.
- Deliver data risk strategy programs.
- Drive change in clients to recommend and adopt leading practice data governance capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience working within or with line 2 operational risk teams on data programs.
- Experience with data risk profile elements, and data management policies and standards.
- Experience with the design and implementation of data governance and/or data management solutions plus proven ‘go to market’ capabilities in these areas.
- Awareness of the processes underpinning the sourcing and preparation of data (e.g. capital, liquidity, regulatory collections etc.) and awareness of local and global regulatory expectations for data management.
- Ability to articulate the role that data and technology play in risk and/or regulatory programs.
- Experience leading and developing teams on risk and data centric programs.
- Experience leading or participating in proposal development and other business development activities.
- Experience in a similar consulting role with a national or global consulting firm (preferable but not essential).
Skills
- Operational risk management frameworks and processes (e.g. risk appetite, risk identification, risk assessment etc.)
- Strong client facing delivery experience
- Ability to engage stakeholders at various levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
