About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Developer Experience to define and lead the strategy for how developers and agents build successfully on Convex. This role involves owning the developer narrative, advocacy, and documentation, ensuring a deep understanding of the product and a clear vision for its use.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy and point of view for how developers and agents learn to be successful on Convex.
- Lead and grow the developer experience team, and build out documentation as a function over time.
- Own the Convex docs and the information architecture behind them, ensuring legibility for humans and agents.
- Craft the writing and developer narrative that shape how people understand Convex.
- Work closely with engineering and founders to translate product development into learning resources.
Requirements
- Experience writing developer docs or technical content relied upon by developers.
- Proven experience leading a team, preferably in developer-facing or content roles.
- Ability to code or read code closely to ensure accuracy.
- Genuine interest in AI's impact on software development and a point of view on developer needs.
- Interest in working in-person at Convex's office in SF.
- High demand for deep thinking and clear communication.
- Ability to take something complicated and make it clear with a strong structure and point of view.
- Ability to form a strong opinion on how developers should build on Convex and execute on it.
- Ability to engage seriously with technical material and earn the team's trust.
- Ability to get great work out of other people, including hiring well, giving ownership, and developing judgment.
