About the Role
Convex is seeking its first GTM Engineer to design, build, and ship workflows and data infrastructure that convert product and market signals into pipeline. This role involves creating internal apps and tools to amplify output, focusing on engaging developers effectively and ethically.
Responsibilities
- Turn Convex product usage into GTM signal, modeling which deploys are getting serious.
- Surface intent the moment a team crosses a threshold and route it to the right play or human automatically.
- Build agent + human-in-the-loop outbound that is genuinely useful and avoids being 'slop'.
- Build AI agents and internal tools that compound the commercial team's output.
- Audit the stack, generate your own backlog, and decide when to use point-and-click tools versus custom builds.
- Perform data cleanup to ensure trustworthiness.
- Write GTM code on Convex itself (dogfooding).
- Measure results and double down on what works best.
Requirements
- A few years spent building revenue and automation systems (Revenue Operations, Sales Ops, growth engineering, or software engineering with a commercial focus).
- Technical ability to build and wire systems together (comfortable with APIs, data, and some code like SQL, scripting languages, or TypeScript).
- Hands-on experience within a modern GTM stack.
- Hands-on experience with AI in real work.
