About the Role

Convex is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own how the company communicates its product launches and innovations across all channels. The role focuses on translating complex engineering work into clear, honest messaging that resonates with developers, avoiding hype and focusing on substance. Responsibilities

Ensure every meaningful product release is effectively communicated to the target developer audience.
Drive product launches from initial strategy and narrative development through to final asset creation.
Translate complex engineering work into clear, honest, and engaging content for developers, avoiding hype.
Maintain consistent communication about product developments, avoiding sporadic bursts of information.
Act as a liaison between engineering, developer experience, design, and content creators.

Requirements

Experience marketing technical or developer products without alienating the audience.
Demonstrated ability to manage a complete product launch, from brief to final assets.
Organizational skills to manage a launch calendar and maintain momentum.
Strong writing skills with a portfolio of developer-facing technical work.
Interest in working in-person at Convex's office in San Francisco.
Deep understanding of the developer mindset and what resonates with a technical audience.
Ability to market products with honesty, focusing on substance over spin.
Capacity to write clearly and concisely, making complex topics understandable with a strong point of view.
Ability to form strong opinions about product narratives and communicate them effectively.
A constructive, positive, and energetic approach to building and improving products in a startup environment.
