About the Role

The New Business Intake Team, under the General Counsel & Risk function, is responsible for resolving complex legal and commercial conflict problems globally. This role plays a key part in shaping firm strategy by ensuring new instructions align with the firm's commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with matter opening in Australia following conflicts clearance.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating strategic register entries on the firm’s systems.
  • Carrying out initial checks and research into new clients and matters using various research tools.
  • Establishing and managing information barriers globally where conflicts or confidential information issues are identified.
  • Assisting with NBI projects and other administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within the legal sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
  • Cannot consider law students for this role.
