About the Role

The Strategy Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the ASX Listings & Markets business by uncovering market opportunities and delivering strategic insights that drive innovation and growth. This role empowers the business to make informed decisions, ensuring ASX remains a leader in global capital markets.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the business strategy.
  • Research domestic and global markets to understand industry trends, policy settings and potential growth opportunities.
  • Analyze diverse data sets and generate insights to facilitate strategic decision making and business operations.
  • Project manage and draft periodic reporting on business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with preparation of discussion, board and strategic offsite papers.
  • Produce high quality and compelling presentation materials to support business development and marketing efforts.
  • Draft responses to inbound media enquiries, with a focus on highlighting ASX’s key strengths and value proposition.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, business, strategy or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ post-graduate experience in commercial reporting, data analytics, business management, corporate finance, corporate strategy, or financial services.
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organisation skills, initiative, curiosity and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience with financial data systems including Iress, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Dealogic, Morningstar (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with principles of equity and debt capital markets (nice to have).
  • Must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
