About the Role

NLS is seeking Water Polo coaches in Sydney to join their team. Roles are available in Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West & North Shore. All coaches must have or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children check. While coaching experience is preferred, good knowledge and playing experience of the sport are required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and conduct all training sessions
• Attend and facilitate all competition games (As Required)
• Be reliable and organized

Requirements

• Sports coaching / playing experience
• PAID Working with Children (WWC) Check
• Child Protection Training (Preferred)
• First Aid + CPR Training (Preferred)

Skills

• Knowledge of standard coaching practices
• Independently handle multiple sporting priorities
• Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
• Communicate clearly & effectively with students, staff, administrators, and at times parents / guardians
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information as needed or to protect the rights of individual students
• Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse community
