About the Role

Lead a team of Credit Support Officers, ensuring efficient and accurate credit operations. This role involves hands-on work with complex applications and high-volume workflows, driving continuous improvement, and refining operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop 1–2 Credit Support Officers, including day-to-day supervision, performance conversations and skill development.
  • Monitor team workload and case queues, redistributing work as needed to meet SLA targets.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for the team on complex conditions, contract issues, or client matters.
  • Support onboarding and training of new Credit Support Officers.
  • Step in on complex, escalated, or high-volume cases across contract preparation, condition management, document coordination and settlement.
  • Provide hands-on support to the team when case volumes exceed capacity.
  • Review and quality-check work completed by Credit Support Officers, including executed contracts and satisfied conditions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of credit support processes.
  • Develop, document and maintain operational procedures and workflows (SOPs) for the credit support function.
  • Support the rollout of new processes, tools or system changes affecting the team.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Credit on team performance, queue status and process improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and Credit Analysts to ensure smooth handover of cases and clear communication of requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a small team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities across own workload and team oversight
  • Sound understanding of the various business structures operating in Australia
  • A process-improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple, often complex, cases at the same time
  • Must be in and authorised to work in Australia
