About the Role

Oversee the daily flow of a busy workshop while staying hands-on with high-level repairs and diagnostic work. This role offers an opportunity to lead a skilled team and shape daily operations within a modern workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct daily workshop operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflow.
• Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of marine engines and systems.
• Plan and schedule jobs, work orders, and maintenance programs.
• Lead, mentor, and train technicians and apprentices.
• Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and internal management.
• Assist with spare parts management, stock control, and job costing when required.
• Maintain high standards of quality control, workshop safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• Trade Certified Marine Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle / Automotive Mechanic with strong marine experience.
• 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role within a workshop environment preferred.
• Solid knowledge of marine engine systems (outboards, inboards, electronics).
• Strong communication and team management skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Forklift licence highly regarded.
