About the Role
KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for its Advisory practice to participate in program or system transformations, assist with data gathering and analysis for government processes, and support the development of business process models and presentation materials.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of a program or system transformation, including planning and strategy, requirements gathering and analysis, design elaboration and validation, system integration and user acceptance testing, and operations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with gathering and analyzing data related to the improvement of State and Local Government processes, policies, and procedures.
- Support the development of business process models and/or enterprise architecture models for current state and target state operations.
- Help develop presentation materials, project tools, and meeting minutes for client-facing discussions.
- Assist with project plan management, risk management activities, and developing project management-related documents.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems and Technology, Computer Science, Applied Technology Management, Business & Computer Information, Business, Economics, Database Technology, Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science, or an equivalent program.
- Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity.
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office and be responsible for own transportation to office/client locations.
- Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
- Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
