About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for their Advisory practice. This role involves supporting client-facing teams with a focus on Human Resources strategy, talent management, organizational design, learning and development, and technology implementations. The intern will assist organizations in transformation readiness by creating change management plans, assessing impacts, executing communications, and developing deliverables. They will leverage KPMG methodologies and tools to simplify processes and drive efficiencies, while staying updated on industry trends and identifying business development opportunities. The role requires strong client-facing skills, adaptability, integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support client-facing teams by contributing to work focused on Human Resources strategy, talent management, organizational design, learning and development, and technology implementations.
  • Assist organizations in the evaluation and preparation of transformation readiness activities by creating change management plans, capturing change impacts, executing communications, and developing deliverables throughout each stage of the engagement lifecycle.
  • Proactively leverage KPMG methodologies, tools, technology and techniques to develop deliverables and execute approaches that simplify, redesign, or innovate existing processes and drive efficiencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and proactively identify opportunities for business development and sales initiatives by developing formal responses to prospective clients seeking advice on their workforce challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong client-facing skills and adaptability, whether interacting with clients directly at their client site, in the office, or virtually, as required by the demands of the business.
  • Operate with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Human Resources/Labor Relations, Information Systems, Organizational Development, Psychology or related degree.
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques including Gen AI and applicable uses.
  • Coursework or experience in business transformation, preferably with a people-centric component that may include process improvement, Human Resources strategy, organizational design, talent management and learning and development.
  • Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by our clients.
  • Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation.
  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
