About the Role

Flaminia, an Italian seafood restaurant by award-winning Chef Giovanni Pilu at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, seeks engaging Venue Hosts with solid restaurant experience to create charismatic first impressions and ensure memorable guest journeys in a high-volume, high-end dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage reservations via SevenRooms, and seat parties efficiently while building rapport and gauging preferences.
• Coordinate table turns, communicate wait times, assist floor team during peaks, and resolve initial guest needs to ensure smooth service flow.
• Greet guests, present menus, offer personalized recommendations on our Italian-focused wine list and seafood specials, and handle orders with attention to dietary needs.
• Provide polished table service, including wine pours, dish presentation, and proactive check-backs in a high-end dining environment.
• Maintain venue standards during peak service, support team coordination, and ensure seamless guest experiences.

Requirements

• 2+ years in upscale restaurant hosting or front-of-house roles.
• Strong reservation system familiarity.
• Exceptional people skills.
• Composure in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and events.
• RSA certificate.
• Professional appearance.
