About the Role
Ode is Anthropic's services venture, focused on bringing frontier AI into practice by tackling challenging AI problems for companies. The talent team plays a critical role in identifying and closing exceptional talent, with a core focus on engineering hiring, but with opportunities to work across functions.
Responsibilities
- Own critical engineering searches from strategy through close.
- Partner with engineering leaders to identify, engage, and hire exceptional software engineers.
- Develop hiring strategies and advise on talent markets.
- Calibrate interview quality and become a trusted thought partner.
- Share best practices, mentor teammates, and strengthen hiring judgment.
- Improve recruiting systems through data, AI, experimentation, and process design.
- Contribute to interviewer enablement, recruiting operations, and sourcing strategy.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience recruiting exceptional engineering talent.
- Experience standing up engineering recruiting functions and building foundational engineering teams in early-stage or high-growth environments.
- Strong hiring judgment with the ability to make thoughtful, evidence-based hiring decisions.
- Technical fluency to understand modern engineering organizations and engage credibly with candidates and leaders.
- Ability to lead through influence by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and driving improvements.
- Builder mindset with a desire to improve systems and use AI, automation, and data.
- High ownership with a sense of urgency and responsibility for outcomes.
