About the Role
As a Senior Associate, Research & Analysis in the Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”), you’ll play a key role in the end-to-end customer management from origination through to portfolio management. Your primary responsibilities include credit risk assessment and maintaining a well-managed portfolio of customers. The role also requires strong customer focus with accountability to drive outcomes to meet customer requirements, while balancing non-financial risks evident across the segment. The position works closely with Relationship Managers, Product Partners, and Risk teams to identify opportunities, structure complex transactions, and deliver tailored customer solutions while maintaining the bank's risk appetite.
Responsibilities
- Through deep client/industry understanding and underpinned by high quality analysis, your role will help capture valuable business and cross-sell opportunities within acceptable risk appetite.
- Thought leadership and oversight across the end-to-end relationship credit management process covering Origination, Transaction Structuring, Risk Grading, Risk Analysis and Credit Approval, Documentation, and Portfolio Monitoring.
- Application of strong credit/risk assessment skills and deal structuring capabilities to execute transactions jointly with Relationship Managers, Product Partners and Institutional Risk.
- Industry specific research and ongoing portfolio management functions are also core responsibilities.
- Being a change agent by driving efficiencies across policy, process, systems and risk as well as embracing the digital agenda across FIG.
Requirements
- Experience in relationship credit management and structuring complex financing arrangements.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client focus with the ability to lead due diligence activities, negotiations and senior level customer engagements alongside the Relationship Managers.
- A curious individual who is always willing to learn, challenge themselves and the status quo.
- Someone who is adaptive to change, ability to think strategically while bringing commercial acumen to decision making.
- Ability to work autonomously, work with a team with proven analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
