About the Role
The General Manager Product Delivery is accountable for the engineering, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of ASX Technology & Data products and services. This role leads cross-functional Delivery and Engineering teams, translating product strategy into successful delivery outcomes while ensuring products are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives, regulatory obligations, and risk frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the successful delivery of Technology & Data product initiatives, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently, and to agreed quality, scope, and timeframes.
- Lead Agile delivery practices across Product Squads, ensuring consistent adoption of ASX governance, delivery frameworks, and engineering standards.
- Oversee end-to-end software delivery activities including planning, business analysis, design, engineering, testing, release management, and operational readiness.
- Drive effective prioritization, capacity planning, and dependency management across delivery portfolios.
- Accountable for engineering outcomes across Technology & Data products and services.
- Establish and maintain engineering practices, standards, and controls that promote quality, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Drive engineering excellence through adoption of modern software engineering, DevOps, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
- Ensure products remain fit-for-purpose through technology currency, technical debt management, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Partner closely with Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Digital teams to ensure sound technical design and scalable solutions.
- Ensure operational performance, availability, and reliability of Technology & Data products and services.
- Ensure effective service management, production support, incident management, and operational governance practices are maintained.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational processes, service performance, and customer experience.
- Ensure products are supported through appropriate monitoring, observability, and performance management practices.
- Provide executive accountability for risk management, control effectiveness, and operational resilience across Technology & Data products and services.
- Ensure technology, operational, cyber, and delivery risks are proactively identified, assessed, and effectively managed.
- Maintain alignment with ASX risk management frameworks, regulatory obligations, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the remediation of technology risks, control deficiencies, audit findings, and operational incidents.
- Promote a culture of accountability, control ownership, and risk awareness across Delivery and Engineering teams.
- Build and develop high-performing Delivery, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams through coaching, mentoring, and capability development.
- Represent Product Delivery at executive governance forums, investment committees, and strategic planning discussions.
- Provide leadership across Product Delivery, Engineering, and Technology teams to achieve shared business outcomes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure product strategies and roadmaps are translated into successful delivery and operational outcomes.
