About the Role

This position is responsible for customer service excellence including sales and providing information regarding memberships, visit passes, group fitness bookings, program enrollments, program enquiries, and merchandise sales within Council’s aquatic and wellness facilities. The successful candidate will need to have flexibility and willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting community members and facility users through face-to-face, phone, and email interactions.
• Promote facility programs, services, and activities by generating awareness, responding to enquiries, and encouraging participation and sales opportunities.
• Manage administrative and customer records including processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, completing documentation, and supporting customers with online platforms.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming facility by ensuring high standards of presentation, hygiene, safety, and security.
• Support effective operations and teamwork through stock control, financial reconciliations, reporting, professional development, and collaborative working practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in busy customer-based environment
• Cash handling experience and/or operation of Point-of-Sale System
• Commitment to providing excellence in customer service
• Experience working independently and within a team environment
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident in Australia. Applicants holding valid visas may be considered for Casual or Term contracts subject to their visa work conditions.
