About the Role

Reddam House North Shore, a part of Inspired Education Group, is seeking a Casual Teacher to provide cover for sick or personal leave within the Primary School. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the NESA curriculum, inspiring academic excellence, fostering curiosity, and supporting student development through engaging lesson plans and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across primary and/or secondary subjects.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Support students in their academic progress and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with staff and follow curriculum guidelines.
• Provide lunch & playground cover and assist with pick up and drop off duties.
• Attend school events outside regular hours as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching primary and/or secondary classes.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of subjects effectively and engage students with diverse learning needs.
• Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to monitor and report on student progress accurately.
• Experience in organising and supervising school activities and events.
• Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
• Passionate about education and committed to the holistic development of students.
• Creative and innovative teaching approaches, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Patient, empathetic, and understanding, with a strong ability to support students’ emotional and social well-being.
• Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player who works well with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Resilient and adaptable, able to handle challenges and changes within the educational environment.
• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
• Accreditation with NESA (New South Wales Education Standards Authority).
• A valid Working with Children Check.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
