About the Role

NAMIC, a division of Medline, is seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team. This role offers paid training with no experience necessary and is ideal for those seeking a career change in medical manufacturing. The Glens Falls division specializes in manufacturing Cath-Lab and Fluid Management products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry transactions within the MRP system and record information on the Discrete job for material traceability.
  • Read and interpret work schedules, Kanban, Discrete jobs, bills of materials, pick lists, drawings, and SOPs.
  • Operate various equipment to achieve quality standards, production plans, and cost objectives.
  • Perform machine changeovers.
  • Perform minor adjustments and troubleshooting to maintain part specifications according to SOPs and operational codes.
  • Assist in the preventative maintenance of assigned machinery.
  • Independently start up and operate equipment per applicable procedures.
  • Recognize technical problems and request support from the machine shop or engineering.
  • Provide feedback on processes and machine performance to engineering and manufacturing management.
  • Train other machine operators as requested.
  • Review procedures for clarity, completeness, and correctness.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Set up workstations with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors/Coordinators to meet production requirements.
  • Operate barcoding and other computerized equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to actively communicate with Production Coordinator and/or Production Supervisor.
  • Must be proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision or direction.
  • Ability to seek guidance from a superior when necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and compute basic math.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in running and/or adjusting equipment and/or machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Notify manager/supervisor immediately for all on-the-job injuries or accidents.
