About the Role

The Marketing Communications Manager develops and executes integrated communications strategies that support business objectives, product and solution launches, brand awareness, and customer engagement. This role partners closely with marketing, product, sales, regulatory, clinical, and cross-functional teams to create clear, compelling, and compliant messaging across multiple channels. In addition to contributing strategic and hands-on communications expertise, this role includes people management responsibility, including coaching, development, performance management, and oversight of team deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing communications plans that support business priorities, campaigns, and product launches
  • Create compelling content for internal and external channels, including web, email, presentations, sales enablement materials, social media, and event collateral
  • Ensure messaging consistency, brand alignment, and adherence to communication standards across all deliverables
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate technical, clinical, and business information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and review cycles to ensure high-quality execution and on-time completion
  • Coordinate with agencies, designers, writers, and other external partners as needed
  • Support campaign measurement and reporting to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with communications for product launches, events, thought leadership initiatives, and customer-facing programs
  • Navigate review and approval processes in a regulated environment, partnering with legal, regulatory, and compliance teams as required
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to assigned team members
  • Set performance expectations, support employee development, and conduct regular feedback and performance discussions
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
  • Contribute to broader marketing and communications strategy through insight, creativity, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Typically 5 or more years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating effectively across a matrixed organization
  • Prior people management experience, including coaching, development, and performance management
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry
  • Familiarity with product launch communications and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with brand guidelines, content approval workflows, and compliance review processes
  • Proficiency with digital marketing platforms, content management systems, and campaign measurement tools
  • Experience supporting global or regional communications programs
  • Experience leading a small team or managing direct reports
