About the Role
Lead identity and access architecture that underpins secure, scalable and connected digital services across the University. Provide architecture leadership across a portfolio of strategic initiatives, guiding the design and delivery of Identity and Access Management (IDAM) solutions that enable secure and reliable access to University systems and services.
Responsibilities
- Provide architecture leadership across a portfolio of strategic initiatives, guiding the design and delivery of Identity and Access Management (IDAM) solutions.
- Support multiple programs and projects through the development of target-state architectures, solution designs and implementation roadmaps.
- Focus on the University's identity ecosystem, including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta SSO/MFA, Saviynt IGA, CyberArk PAM, identity provisioning, lifecycle management, authentication, authorisation, federation and Zero Trust architecture.
- Evaluate architecture options, balance business and technical requirements, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements and governance expectations.
- Provide guidance across Azure infrastructure and networking, including landing zones, hybrid and private connectivity, network segmentation, infrastructure security and cloud platform governance.
- Deliver high-quality solution architectures and implementation roadmaps that align with Enterprise Architecture principles and strategic objectives.
- Lead architecture design activities across IDAM platforms including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Saviynt and CyberArk.
- Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that balance business needs, risk, cost and long-term sustainability.
- Maintain accurate architecture decisions, risks, dependencies and traceability within architecture repositories.
- Support successful project outcomes through effective collaboration with architects, stakeholders, project teams and vendors.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Solution Architect, Identity Architect, Security Architect, Cloud Architect or similar role within a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise across Identity and Access Management domains including authentication, authorisation, federation, identity provisioning, IGA and PAM.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Experience working within Enterprise Architecture practices, governance frameworks and architecture repositories such as Orbus Infinity, LeanIX or equivalent.
- You must provide evidence of full-time working rights in Australia at application.

- $137,681 – $147,032 per annum
