About the Role

In this role, you will support the Energy Liability pricing team and underwriters in London. You will gain exposure to Underwriting and Actuarial leadership through account pricing, business reviews, and business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure AXA XL is a leader in technical pricing and portfolio management.
  • Assist the Actuary leading the Energy Liability portfolio in London to maintain and improve the Pricing view of loss ratio.
  • Challenge Actuarial and UW leadership, Reserving and Capital modelling.
  • Drive consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across Energy Liability.
  • Ensure efficiency of pricing processes, compliance with pricing guidelines, and delivery of core tasks.
  • Train underwriters in pricing matters and support pricing accounts.
  • Provide results and metrics storytelling for Finance Business Partners and Reserving.
  • Gather local UW data and analytics needs and problems.
  • Leverage other AXA XL capabilities, such as Risk Consulting, IDA, and Enterprise Business Data Solutions.
  • Collaborate with the wider casualty team to complete tasks and assist in the development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in non-life insurance pricing.
  • Relevant work experience in a statistical or analytical role.
  • Qualified actuary or progress towards attaining actuarial accreditation.
