About the Role
The Corporate Practice Manager provides support to associates within the Corporate group, focusing on workflow and career development. This role is key in implementing group initiatives and fostering associate retention and development, requiring a collaborative individual who excels at helping associates achieve their professional goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource to associates, understanding practice activity and helping manage bandwidth, workflow, and time management.
- Manage junior associates post-integration through the "Fenwick First program" to aid integration and navigation of the workflow system.
- Manage work allocation and utilization within the free market workflow system, assisting partners and associates with staffing.
- Evaluate practice group needs by analyzing data, identifying resource gaps, and supporting recruiting efforts.
- Manage orientation, integration support for lateral and junior associates, and off-boarding processes.
- Lead associate engagement initiatives and support morale-boosting events to encourage collaboration.
- Collaborate with partners, Practice Support Lawyers, and Legal Training teams on formal training programs and meeting planning for firmwide initiatives.
- Support the evaluation and associate development process with the Legal Personnel team.
- Assist the Knowledge Management team with testing, rollout, and maintenance of tools, including AI tools.
- Partner with practice group directors, Practice Support Lawyers, and stakeholders on AI initiatives, identifying efficiencies and developing training for responsible AI use.
- Assist management in making strategic decisions for the group.
- Support other initiatives, projects, and processes as assigned to the Practice Management team.

- 3-5 years of manager-level experience at a law firm or other professional services firm.
- Experience in practice management, including staffing support, is a plus.
