About the Role
You will own product lines, defining problems, their impact, and the solutions. You will build these solutions alongside Product Engineers, define success criteria, and ensure contractor adoption. You will collaborate with Product Engineers, the Head of Product, CEO, Head of Sales, and CS.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy for your product line and make trade-offs explicit.
- Turn customer signal and market movement into an outcome-based plan.
- Maintain a live view of the competitive set.
- Run customer discovery on a regular cadence.
- Build tooling to expedite the discovery process.
- Prototype and pressure-test solutions before full commitment.
- Partner with Product Engineers to define the user experience.
- Define minimum-lovable versions to solve defined problems.
- Own success criteria in customer-outcome terms and associated metrics.
- Understand the platform to discuss trade-offs and estimations with Product Engineers.
- Own the value proposition for your product line and contribute to pricing and packaging.
- Write Go-To-Market materials, including positioning, release notes, help articles, in-app copy, and CS briefings.
- Own product adoption, not just shipping.
- Monitor adoption metrics post-launch and report on performance and next steps.
Requirements
- 4-5+ years in product roles, with a focus on shipped products rather than tenure.
- Evidence of independently identifying real problems through user interaction, ticket analysis, or data exploration.
- Comfort with quantitative analysis, including running queries, reading funnels, and sizing opportunities.
- Belief that good software can improve users' daily lives.
- Ability to write concise and clear documentation.
- Open-mindedness to new information and constructive disagreement.
- Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance work without compromising judgment.
- Genuine interest in the construction industry.
- Motivation to improve the daily experience of field workers.
