About the Role
Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Associate, Data Analytics to join their Financial Advisory team in Melbourne or Sydney. This role involves collaborating with business areas to gather, extract, and analyze data, providing clients with actionable insights and recommendations to solve complex financial and business problems. It's an opportunity for a data-driven professional with 3-4 years of experience to enhance their analytics expertise, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the strategy of a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks, specifying data, methodologies, and tools.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify data sources, gather relevant information, and perform ETL processes.
- Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, or Python.
- Automate and simulate processes, adjusting and recasting models as required.
- Identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable and dynamic approach to work, with the ability to pivot between different projects and teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including interpreting requirements of diverse teams and adapting interpersonal style to different audiences.
